Preventing the need for refunds or returns: unicoherent.com wants to do all it can to guarantee that you are satisfied with your purchase. If you wish to buy a framed print, but only if the frame can be displayed standing as well as hanging, just contact Unicoherent and they will ensure that your frame meets your needs. If you are concerned that you will be unhappy with the style of appearance of your frame, you can contact Unicoherent prior to buying it to request images of the frame they plan to use (it will always be a fairly plain design, usually black) and if you don’t like it you can request a different one. Unicoherent would then show you images of one or more other frame options. If none of those were acceptable you could try to describe what sort of frame you wanted and Unicoherent would attempt to find a suitable match that was within their price range and take pictures for you to consider, and so on until a frame is found that you approve of or it is determined that no frames meeting financial constraints were available. If you were willing to pay extra a wider range of frame possibilities could be explored. Likewise, Unicoherent is willing to provide extra photos of Original Art works, taken from different angles or showing detail views of certain areas upon request. For commissions, the email conversation that precedes purchase can be very in depth will include mock-ups and discussion of more options and details than you had even conceived. Once a commission purchase is made, depending on its complexity, regular progress update emails will include images of the work evolving and you will continue to be able to influence the style and details. Unicoherent has created commissioned works for numerous individuals and corporations and has never had an unhappy customer. No refunds have ever been requested to date, and unicoherent.com wants to do everything it can to ensure that no refunds are ever desired. That said, we do have a refund policy, explained below.
Refunds for merchandise: If you wish to request a return/refund/cancellation for a merchandise item that you purchased through Unicoherent’s site on Redbubble you will have to make the request through Redbubble.com
Refunds for items damaged or lost during shipping: All packages are sent via USPS with a minimum of $100 of insurance. Once USPS takes possession of an item, they take responsibility. unicoherent.com is not liable for items damaged or lost in transit. Refunds for such items therefore need to be requested from usps.com and all financial negotiations regarding financial compensation must be conducted with usps.com.
Refunds for unfulfillable orders: If you purchase an item from unicoherent that has already been sold through the gallery they are associated with or at a convention art show they enter before they have the chance to remove the listing from the website you will be refunded the full amount you paid.
Refunds for cancelled orders: Orders can be cancelled by the customer IF AND ONLY IF unicoherent receives the cancellation request before they ship the item (to request the cancellation of an order, please contact Unicoherent directly via the contact form). Successfully cancelled orders will be refunded in the amount paid MINUS the transaction fees taken by woocommerce. In other words, Unicoherent will refund to you the full amount that they received (although this will be less than the full amount that you paid).
Refunds for Returns: The only items purchasable directly from unicoherent.com eligible for return are limited edition prints (framed or unframed). We offer returns on these items because we are aware that prints may look different in person than in the images on this site due to the color display settings of your screen or the lighting conditions of the room in which you would like to display the work. However, due to lack of funds we are simply not able to pay for the return shipping of the print(s) or refund you for the original shipping. You will be refunded the amount you paid, minus shipping, once the return is received.
